Privacy Policy

Ride Tracker is a local-first application. You do not need an account, and we do not operate a server that receives your ride history or recorded routes.

1. Information Used by the App

Location Data

When you start a ride, Ride Tracker uses precise location data to record your route and calculate distance, speed, duration, and elevation. Location access continues while a ride is active if you switch apps or lock your screen. Your route and ride history are stored locally on your device.

Garage and Settings

Vehicle details, categories, preferences, and other app settings you enter are stored locally on your device.

2. How We Use Information

The app uses locally stored information to:

• Record and display rides
• Calculate ride and vehicle statistics
• Import, export, and share rides when you request it
• Remember your app preferences

Ride Tracker does not include advertising or analytics SDKs and does not sell personal information.

3. Data Retention and Deletion

You control data stored by Ride Tracker:

• Local storage: Ride Tracker keeps its working copy of your ride data in the app's local storage on your device.
• Device backups: If you enable device backup or device transfer features, iOS or Android may include Ride Tracker app data in a backup managed by Apple, Google, or your device manufacturer. DevTech does not operate or receive those backups. You can manage them in your platform account and device settings.
• Manual backups: The app can create a complete backup when you request one. You control the file and any destination where you save or share it.
• Deletion: You can delete individual rides or clear ride history in the app. Copies already stored in a device backup or manual export are managed separately.
• Permissions: You can revoke location permission in your device settings. Background ride recording will not work without the required permission.
• Sharing: Data leaves the app only when you choose an export or sharing action, subject to the destination you select.

4. Data Storage and Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, and we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

5. Third-Party Services

Map content is provided by the mapping services built into your platform. Those providers may process network, device, or map-view information under their own privacy policies when map tiles load. Ride Tracker does not send your saved ride history to DevTech.

If you contact support through our website form, FormSubmit processes the name, email address, subject, and message you submit so it can be delivered to DevTech. You can instead email us directly.

6. No Account or Advertising Profile

• No Ride Tracker account is required.
• We do not use your ride history for advertising.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information.

7. Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do necessary actions.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
